I have tried to discipline myself to not have any set days for posting. I know my body. I know it won't happen...but yet...I see how faithful others are with their posting days, and I feel like I need to have set days as well.

I don't. Obviously. But it sure does tempt me, and the battle with my body and then with my own weird pressures on myself compete.

I'm glad you are slowing down and pacing yourself!

It’s funny because I am tempted to do what you do and just say I”ll post when I post. But for me, it was a personal challenge because writing is therapy for me, and for so many years I put it off. I worked on a computer all day so I don’t have the capacity to write too. But I shifted my perspective into “this is medicine” and gave myself a challenge. Did I bite off more than I can chew initially? Yes. But I am also building something intentionally, a ministry to help others who suffer with chronic/invisible illnesses, CPTSD, anxiety, depression, adoption, abuse, etc….and it is a BIG space. But I will likely find a way to still challenge myself but let myself let go a little more. I think a good balance is definitely the right call for me.

Me with the pressure of posting on Mondays! But I always seem to come up with something! I could not imagine doing multiple days a week!!

That’s why I made Mondays and Fridays light, simple, in the beginning. So the only time suck would be the essay and let’s be honest—that’s not a time suck—that’s just therapy! So Fridays I do a worship song or a song that has meant something to me. It’s scary to not be so regimented and planned out, but I feel like in giving myself that freedom I can be more me. Who knows what I may have to consider shuffling, as I need to ensure my mental health is in a good place. We will see if the Lord leads me to simplify and cut out Monday/Friday and just keep Wed and the podcast, but from the start, I wanted to take this seriously and felt like I needed to commit to full-time. In hindsight, knowing I am experiencing extreme quantifiable burnout makes me think perhaps I need to let something go. So I’ll be praying on it!
